How Prayer Times Are Calculated
Our prayer times are calculated using astronomical data and trusted Islamic calculation methods. We use the Aladhan API, which provides prayer times based on your geographic coordinates and your preferred calculation method.
The default calculation method is ISNA (Islamic Society of North America), which uses 15° for Fajr and 15° for Isha. You can also choose from other methods including Muslim World League, Umm Al-Qura, and Egyptian General Authority.
All times are automatically adjusted for your local timezone, daylight saving time, and geographic location to ensure accuracy.
